I don’t post much nowadays but was very pleased with this job and thought it was worth sharing. Customer was having damp issues in their workshop due to water getting into the cracked render. Removing the render and re-rendering would have been an expensive solution so it was decided to batten out the existing shell and cover it with tongue and groove timber cladding which looks very smart and has given it a new lease of life!

This was a very rewarding project; myself and the customer were both very pleased with the final outcome. It started over the Easter weekend with 2 days on a mini digger to level the area (there was almost a foot difference in the level of the ground from front to back) and fix railway sleepers around the perimeter. Once this was done the w**d membrane was laid and the build started! Although the timber was supplied as a set there was a lot of cutting, drilling and fixing to do and a few amendments here and there. 2 tonnes of rubber bark chippings later and it is finally complete and ready to be used.

After 2 fairly hectic weeks of roof repairs where I’ve replaced more ridge tiles than I had in the last 2 years put together I’m now off for a week (which I feel is deserved!!). Hopefully I’ve got to everyone, I know there are a few people waiting for quotes so I’ll be putting them together while I’m away and get them over as soon as possible.
