Hurdsfield Launderette and Dry Cleaners of Macclesfield was opened at the height of the swinging 60’s by Jim Steadman. In those days, few people owned automatic washing machines and dryers but Hurdsfield Launderette has always moved with the times and offers a convenience unmatched by home washing. The laundrette is staffed every day from 10am but is available for self service washing and drying f

rom 7:30am every day except Wednesday. As well as self service washing and drying, the laundrette offers a full service wash and dry at very competitive prices. Simply drop off your washing before 1pm and it will be available for collection between 5pm and 6pm. If you live within a two mile radius we’ll even collect and drop off your washing free of charge. We are able to wash and dry large bulky items, such as duvet covers, using our large commercial washing machines. If you need a dry cleaning service we can offer a 24 hour dry cleaning turnaround for even the bulkiest items such as curtains. If the weather is its usual unpredictable self, bring your own washing and take advantage of our commercial tumble dryers. We also offer tea, coffee and hot chocolate and all the proceeds are donated to St Lukes Hospice in Middlewich. Our many regular customers are always around to chat if you feel inclined and we have a selection of magazines available.

FROM SEPTEMBER 1st I WILL BE EXTENDING MY OPENING HOURS AFTER SEVERAL CUSTOMERS HAVE ASKED ME TO STAY OPEN LATER TO ACCOMMODATE THEIR NEEDS

I AM THINKING OF CHANGING MY OPENING TIMES TO THE FOLLOWING

MONDAY - THURSDAY
7am - 9pm

FRIDAY / SATURDAY / SUNDAY
7am - 5pm

I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOUR THOUGHTS AND FEEDBACK BEFORE I COMMIT TO THESE CHANGES ?

So this hand knitted little number was left on the bench outside my shop over the weekend and looks like lots of time and effort has gone into making it 🥰
Could possible be a baby chair cover ?
Might be of sentimental value to whoever has lost it so it’s being kept safely in the shop and hope the owner is found soon ❤️
