Crews from Abingdon Fire Station, Rewley Road Fire Station & Kidlington Fire Station were called this morning to a chimney fire in involving a large wooden beam that had caught light at the rear.
Using a high pressure hose reel & handheld cutting tools they were able to extinguish the fire before shoring up the fireplace until repair work can begin.
