Some more advanced stain removal today on this 100% wool rug

Unfortunately the customer had already tried with an over the counter product before calling us that had caused bleaching and a little bit of pile damage before we started however we successfully removed the stain using advanced methods making the rug look much better than it did

We completed this tricky little clean today but just look how that colour has popped

the reason for it being tricky was the fibre content being cotton with a velvet finish and the dreaded buttons that can also cause issues if your not careful

However with our expert knowledge correct solutions and equipment we restored this beautiful piece of upholstery back to its best with ease and minimal fuss

We love a challenge and that’s what we got on one of todays jobs with blood that had been dried into this 100% wool carpet for a number of weeks
We treated the blood with the appropriate cleaning solution a number of times and used our subsurface extraction tool until the water ran completely clear meaning all the blood was removed but some staining was still present so we proceeded with an advanced stain removal technique and fully removed the stain

The slight shading in picture 3 was where that patch was damp once it was dry it was as if nothing ever happened except forgetting to take a photo 🤦‍♂️

It’s been a very busy week and it finished with a challenge a looped pile wool mix at this end of tenancy carpet clean thanks to the gardener apparently not giving a ____ but with quality equipment cleaning solutions and most importantly our knowledge the carpet has been saved

Awareness post

These photos were sent to me by my mum 🤦‍♂️ even with a carpet and upholstery cleaner as a son she decided to be lead astray by an over the counter product that says it can be used on carpets and upholstery however this isn’t always the case (considering I live over an hour away I will forever her this time)

Due to the nature of the fabric this has caused damage to the fibre causing water marks and cellulose browning and possibly some bleaching
However with specialists products or some advanced stain removal we can most likely fix them but it’s not a guarantee because of the possible bleaching that’s been caused by

Never ever trust over the counter products but one thing you can always trust is a professional especially Dorset and Devon cleaning
