Something a bit different. A common failure on Merc 651 diesels is that the fuel filter housing fails and coolant leaks. Updated housing fitted to prevent further issues

Very difficult to get to, especially the EGR cooler bolts in order to remove it to gain access to the housing

However all completed with no issues and a quick headlight restoration to remove the weathering.

A brief hour was spent bringing the family cars back up to being DED shiny. All had already undergone a full detail in the last few months so really was just a maintenance wash.

The Mercedes was machine polished 4 years ago and still looks great with minimal effort.

Dirt can't cling nearly as well to a decontaminated vehicle as it can one that's only been bucket or pressure washed.

Once the paint has been corrected a ceramic coating further protects the paint from what nature throws at it Keeping it nicer for longer and making future cleans much easier.

Great care must be taken not to undo the hard work but with a contactless prewash to remove surface dust followed by a contact wash brings it back nice.

Paint was very dirty but not in bad condition for a 19 year old car under all the filth as revealed by a full decontamination .

Unfortunately a few bangs and scrapes were evident. A machine polish certainly improved many areas.
