Joseph Bazalgette I am a Victorian inventor. During the reign of Queen Victoria all sewage that came from the toilets was dumped into the Thames, yes I know disgusting.

This was called the great stink Eventually the government decided to take action, and get me to do all the work. You see, originally they decided to cover the curtains in chlorine and put pegs on their noses but that failed. My brand new invention is called the Sewer system. All toilets have pipes connected to them that will lead into giant tunnels under the ground. This way the smell should clear up and fish will finally come back to the Thames.
