@ everyone - we have had a number customers not yet booked back in to have their chimneys swept this year, many have said that they haven't really used it, we are unsure if this is due to the mild weather we have had so far or if funds are tight due to the current financial climate. We have just put this post together to point out the importance of our service. Regular chimney sweeping is essential for your family’s safety. A blocked or poorly maintained chimney can lead to Carbon monoxide poisoning, which is colourless, odourless, and extremely dangerous. additionally it can increase the risk of Chimney fires, caused by a build-up of soot and creosote. Both risks can be significantly reduced with a professional sweep carried out at least once a year.

Additionally, most house insurance policies require a valid chimney sweeping certificate. Failure to keep your chimney properly maintained and certified may invalidate your insurance in the event of a claim. After your sweep, you will receive a certificate for your records and insurance purposes, giving you peace of mind that your appliance is safe and compliant.
