A different kind of pest control is taking flight in Canada Water! We’re working with Total Pest Control to trial a trained hawk as part of our pest management approach at one client location. 🦅

Here’s Area Manager Maria De Castro, Joe Murphy, Director at Total Pest Control, and Jak Hays, Junior Area Manager, getting up close with the hawk ahead of the trial.

We’re delighted to have retained our contracts across a number of Derwent’s London’s properties, marking another three years of our successful partnership.

With 73 Principle colleagues working across the London portfolio, our teams worked hard to remobilise ahead of going live on 1 September across The Triangle - White Collar Factory, Oliver’s Yard and The Featherstone Building - as well as sites DL/78 and DL/28 Lounges, 230 Blackfriars Road, The White Chapel Building, Tea Building, Morelands and 20 Farringdon Road.

To celebrate, colleagues came together on Tuesday in their fresh new uniforms - with their previous uniforms recycled as part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability. The teams enjoyed some well-deserved cakes, sandwiches and drinks with our clients and senior team as they marked the start of the next chapter with Derwent. 👏

As part of the remobilisation, our sustainability plans have also been refreshed, alongside refresher health and safety training to ensure our teams are fully prepared for the year ahead.

A huge congratulations and thank you to everyone involved for your hard work, dedication and continued commitment to delivering safe, sustainable and impeccably presented spaces for Derwent and its occupiers.

We’re lacing up our boots for a fantastic cause – the annual Landsec Hike! 🥾

On 24 September, we’re joining our client, Landsec, and fellow service partners to take on the Cotswold 10 Peaks – a day of trails, rolling Cotswold countryside and plenty of climbs!

We love any excuse to collaborate with our clients and partners, although usually without quite so much gradient! However, it's in aid of The Connection, an incredible charity helping people in London overcome homelessness and rebuild their lives.

Thank you to Landsec for organising what’s set to be a fantastic day of teamwork, fresh air and scenic views – with, no doubt, a few sore calves along the way!

As we kick off Recycling Week 2026 following a successful Zero Waste Week at our Waste Team is demonstrating how consistent engagement, data transparency and collaboration can drive real change.

In August, office recycling reached 89% – the highest office recycling rate achieved at 22 Bishopsgate – while the overall building recycling rate reached 81%.

This progress has been driven through a combination of regular waste audits, improved reporting and data visibility, occupier engagement, targeted education and ongoing work to improve segregation at source.

A huge thank you to our Waste & Recycling Manager, Anna Volfman, and the Waste Team at 22 Bishopsgate, who continue to work closely with occupiers and building teams to turn waste data into practical action and make correct segregation part of the everyday routine. 👏

Following a successful Zero Waste Week, Recycling Week is another opportunity to keep the momentum going – reducing what we use, reusing wherever possible and thinking differently about the resources we currently call waste. ♻

To celebrate everyone’s hard work and mark the end of a busy, successful summer, colleagues from across the business came together in Hyde Park last Friday for an afternoon of food, sport and good company. ✨

Pizza, refreshing drinks and a few games of rounders were the perfect way to round off a summer of success and, most importantly, celebrate the people who make Principle what it is.🏏 Everyone brought plenty of energy, laughter and team spirit, making it a fantastic afternoon - thank you all! 👏

At Principle, our apprentices are doing much more than learning; they’re helping to drive meaningful change across our business.

In partnership with LDN Apprenticeships’ LDN Sustainability Professional programme, we’ve welcomed five apprentices to the company - including Heloysa - who are supporting everything from ESG reporting and carbon data to social value, circularity and environmental projects.

In the learning provider’s latest case study, Sustainability Manager, Sadie-Jane Eversden, explains that the most striking part of their development has been the transition from support to ownership – with apprentices taking the lead on projects, coordinating community initiatives and contributing to client meetings.
