Rat control block treatment in Beckenham.

This loft space for a block of flats was heavily infested with rats. The building had been treated by multiple pest control
contractors but they unfortunately failed to pick up on two open soil vent pipes which were left open in the loft space.

Not only was this giving off unpleasant smells into the loft space, but also allowing rats to breach into the building roof space and wall cavities.

Due to the level of the infestation, the insulation was removed and disposed of. The area was thoroughly sanitised and then new insulation was put in place. This had to be done with care and therefore we made sure all areas in flats below were prepped and then cleaned/sanitised after.

We then sealed off the soil vent pipes with air admittance valves and installed rat blockers to the foul and surface water connections in the main chambers.

No further activity has been reported since.
