We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service, by treating you as an individual and managing your job to suit your wants and needs. We believe it is our duty to make sure you are fully aware of and understand the processes involved in installing your new rubber surface. We will guide you through colour selection and blends that will compliment your surroundings and offer unique designs, borders, logos etc. that will make your job truly individual. We can provide you with a free quotation for your individual job and answer any questions you may have in person. We cover all aspects, from simple topcoat applications over a solid base. Through to full service re-grading of playgrounds, providing drainage, working to architectural drawings and critical fall heights to ensure a safe environment for children to play in. We use 15 standard colours of EPDM rubber granules, which can be used as solid colours or mixed to a colour blend specified by the customer. The rubber is mixed with our specialist resins on site and is poured in place and finished by hand trowelling or rolling to create a non-slip top coat for concrete, tarmac, wood, stone, block paving, gravel, etc. Depending on the application the rubber will typically be laid from a thickness of 7mm up to 15mm. For example; an average concrete pathway in a garden which will only ever receive light foot traffic will only require the minimal thickness. A driveway which receives much heavier stresses will be laid to the maximum thickness. For playgrounds we use the same thick topcoat and apply it to a thick layer of shock absorbing rubber (this process is explained in more detail on the playgrounds page)
Some jobs require none or very little preparation work and can be completed in a single day. Most jobs require preparation work which will include; jet washing, trimming of bushes, removal of weeds, grinding of concrete edges etc. For these jobs the preparation work will usually be completed the day before giving us a fresh start the next day. Other jobs require extra work like removal of trees or stumps, levelling of surfaces, concreting, general landscaping etc. We cater for all of the above and more and take all of these things into account when pricing a job. Always providing a breakdown of cost and explaining the timescale involved, never leaving any nasty surprises.
