Something out of a comedy film or a horror movie. Flies around the window, trying to escape. Not in this case. A rodent died nearby. Resulting in a small gathering.

On the 4th floor of a newly built apartment, and I’ve been dealing with an ongoing mouse problem that clearly stems from flawed kitchen layout design. Gaps around service pipes were left unsealed, giving mice an easy route to come and go freely within the kitchen space.

After raising the matter, formal permission was granted to cut an access hole to reach the pipework, so we can properly seal up the entry point and resolve the infestation for good.

It’s really disappointing to encounter these basic build‑quality issues in a brand‑new property, especially a higher‑floor flat where you’d expect this kind of pest risk to have been designed out from the start.

Has anyone else living in a new‑build flat run into similar poorly sealed pipework or pest problems caused by layout defects? Drop a comment below to share your experience.

Damage caused by demolition work. Leaving the sewer system open, allowing rats out. And causing an issue in the parade of shops

It's Tuesday, and we are on call-out for emergency cockroach treatment in an HMO. While the tenant chats away, we had the pleasure of informing him that bedbugs are present

This morning, at two different sites with rats. It's going to be one of these days when my luck runs out and I get electrocuted. Rats have to gnaw to file their teeth down.

Squirrels may be cute—the damage they can do. In this case, wiring can do serious damage: a fire risk or a risk to life.

This morning, treatment in the family for bedbugs.

This is one way to encourage vermin into your home. Last night, takeaway was thrown on the floor to feed birds

Had to proof the bottom of a door. Been chasing the key for some time. Nobody knows which key, or where the keys are. Pretty much, it's lost. Rats are coming and going.
