A study done by Phillips, Charity - Global Action Plan and the University of Manchester shows the impact of poor air quality in children's classrooms on both their health and ability to learn.

They found that if air pollution in and around schools was reduced by 20% then children's ability to learn could improve by one month per year. The same is also true when air pollution is increased by 20%, a child's working memory is decreasd by one month per year!

Worryingly, over 2,000 nurseries and schools are located in air pollution hot spots, these hot spots are not just located in inner cities but also suburban and coastal towns.
