The most expensive cleaning mistake we see?
Marble.
Not because it's difficult to clean.
But because one wrong product can permanently damage a surface worth thousands of pounds.
Over the past 7+ years in professional housekeeping across London, we've walked into countless beautiful homes where the marble had already been etched, stained or dulled.
The saddest part?
Almost every case could have been prevented.
Cleaning isn't just about making a surface look clean.
It's about understanding what you're cleaning.
If you have marble in your home, here are a few simple rules that will protect it for years to come.
☝️ Never use acidic products.
Vinegar, lemon, bathroom descalers and limescale removers will permanently damage marble.
☝️Avoid abrasive pads or powders.
They scratch the polished finish and leave irreversible marks.
☝️Choose pH-neutral products designed for natural stone.
☝️ Wipe up spills immediately.
Coffee, w**e, juice and even some toiletries can stain marble surprisingly quickly.
☝️Always finish with a clean, dry microfibre cloth to prevent water marks.
One thing we constantly remind every member of our team:
If you don't know the material, don't guess. Ask.
There's absolutely no shame in asking for advice.

Despite the weather trying to tell us otherwise we are fast approaching the summer holidays. ☀️🏖️🍹

Please do let us know if you will not need your Housekeeper during any period of the school summer holidays. Our Housekeepers have time off too with their families and we find the more we can plan this time period the more covers we can usually offer.

However if you do want to come to a deep clean feeling home then don't hesitate to let us know so we can look to cover and give you that extra special welcome home.

Our Housekeepers rightly so get some incredible feedback from our customers, they work very hard and as I always shout out about how they are not your average cleaners.

However it is incredibly humbling when the company is recognised too, there is so much work that goes in behind the scenes, that cleaning is actually only a part of what we do.
