Would you rent your own property?
And I don't mean just because the rent looks attractive.
Walk through the front door as though you're the tenant.
Is it clean? Is it well maintained? Do the appliances work properly? Are those little repairs you've been meaning to do still waiting?
And then there's the part tenants can't necessarily see — compliance.
Are the required checks, certificates and documentation actually up to date?
Today's tenants have expectations, choices and rights. A well-presented, well-managed property doesn't just help attract tenants — it can help you retain good ones.
So before asking, ‘How much rent can I get?’, perhaps ask:
‘Would I be happy living here myself?’

An evening well spent ✨
Tonight was about more than property. A lovely dinner at Circolo Popolare, Rathbone Place, with a fabulous group of women in estate agency — sharing stories, exchanging insights, talking business, laughing and getting to know one another beyond the day-to-day.
There’s something very special about women in the same industry coming together, sharing experiences and supporting each other. 🏡🥂
Great food, great conversation and even better company — and that dessert certainly deserved its own photograph! 😂🍰
