One week in April transformed Kyron's life.
After months of searching for stable work, Kyron joined the Restart Scheme in Greater Manchester and was given the opportunity to showcase his skills through a volunteering placement.

That placement led to a paid job offer and, just days later, the arrival of his baby daughter. 👶

Today, Kyron is thriving in work and enjoying family life, proving what can happen when determination meets the right support.

Healthy. Fair. Inclusive. Just.

These are the four pillars of the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and we're proud to have achieved accreditation for them 🎉

The Charter recognises employers that are committed to creating workplaces where people can thrive through strong wellbeing support, fair employment practices, inclusion, learning and development, employee voice and opportunities for future generations.

For Ingeus, this recognition reflects the work we continue to do for our colleagues, including:

✅ Supporting physical and mental wellbeing
✅ Offering flexible and hybrid ways of working
✅ Championing equality, diversity and inclusion
✅ Investing in learning and career development
✅ Creating opportunities for young people to develop and succeed.

It also recognises the contribution of our 45 colleagues across the Liverpool City Region who help us deliver high-quality services to residents and employers every day.

This achievement is part of a wider commitment to continuously improving the experience of our colleagues and the local community, whilst maintaining high standards as an employer.

Darryn's biggest motivation? Making his daughter proud 🥺

After facing addiction, homelessness and time in prison, Darryn knew he wanted a different future.

With support from the Ingeus accommodation team, he secured a safe place to live and began rebuilding his life. But he didn't stop there.

Today, Darryn volunteers as an Ingeus Peer Mentor, using his own experiences to support others who are facing challenges similar to those he once faced himself.

Now enjoying family holidays with his daughter, continuing his training and helping others move forward, Darryn shares how he strives to make his daughter proud 💛

Giving back to the community, one care package at a time 🐾

Our CFO Evolution team recently teamed up to support Brockswood Animal Sanctuary as part of their Doing Good to Be Good sessions.

The sessions help participants explore the value of giving back and making a positive contribution to their communities.

Together, they gathered donations, including products kindly donated by Lush, hand-crafted the packaging and created 40 care packages to be delivered to the sanctuary.

The packages will be sold or raffled to help raise vital funds for the animals and support the sanctuary's ongoing work 🐶🐱

More than just a practical activity, it was a chance for participants to work together, support a local cause and see first-hand how small acts of kindness can make a real difference.

A huge thank you to everyone involved, and to Brockswood Animal Sanctuary for the incredible work they do in the community 💛

☀️ By day, Laura supports people to overcome substance misuse challenges and rebuild their lives as a Recovery Navigator.

But her passion for helping others doesn't stop there.

Using Ingeus' paid volunteering days, Laura became an Independent Visitor, providing support and encouragement to a young person in care.

One moment particularly stayed with her:

💬 "She told me she hadn't realised families could spend time together, laugh and genuinely enjoy each other's company."

Whether she's supporting someone through recovery or helping a young person build confidence for the future, Laura loves seeing people realise their potential.

And that's one of the reasons she loves working at Ingeus 🤩

👉 Read how Laura grew her confidence while growing her career.

What starts as a quick chat could become your next opportunity…

Not in a boardroom, not at a conference – perhaps just hovering by the kettle☕

🏠 Sometimes the biggest changes start with having a safe place to call home.

In her latest blog, Claire shares how her role as an Accommodation Advisor helps people leaving custody or probation-approved accommodation find housing, overcome challenges and move towards a brighter future 🌟

Working alongside local councils, charities, wellbeing services and employment partners, Claire helps people access the support they need to rebuild their lives and gain greater independence.

We loved reading feedback like this:

💬 "I'm now in comfortable accommodation with a clear plan for future progression."

For many people, finding accommodation is about more than housing. It's a fresh start, new opportunities and renewed hope 👉 Read Claire's story https://ow.ly/QoCT50ZrUw6

We believe creating positive impact goes beyond the services we deliver. It's also about the causes we support and the communities we serve.

Recently, colleagues in Stockport came together in pink to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel! 🩷 From fundraising and sharing information to hearing inspiring personal stories from guest speakers, the event sparked important conversations and helped spread awareness far beyond the office. Information will now be shared through local women's centres and HMP Styal, helping the message reach even more people.

Meanwhile, our Restart Scheme team in Bolton swapped desks for mud and obstacles as part of Cancer Research UK's Pretty Muddy 5K. What started with a fundraising target of £500 quickly grew into something much bigger, with the team raising more than £2,500 while bringing together colleagues, family, friends and former teammates for a fantastic cause 🏃‍♀️💪

Whether it's raising vital funds, sharing life-saving awareness or supporting important charities in our local areas, these initiatives show the power of people coming together to make a difference.

A huge thank you to everyone who got involved. We're incredibly proud of the passion, generosity and community spirit shown by our teams 🤩

Meet Sameen 🤩

At just 19 years old, Sameen is studying for an Economics degree, taking on leadership roles at university and planning a future career in finance.

But alongside all that, she also wanted to make a real difference for other young people.

That's what led her to become a Youth Voice Ambassador here at Ingeus 📢

Since joining, she's completed Mental Health First Aid training, met inspiring people, developed new skills and helped influence initiatives designed to support young people.

One of our favourite pieces of advice from Sameen?

💬 "You don't have to wait until you've 'made it' to start making a difference."

It’s inspiring to have Sameen as part of Youth Voice and we can't wait to see where her story takes her next. Read about Sameen’s first chapter with Youth Voice https://ow.ly/ZWQQ50ZrgI4
