A great day at Llandysul Snooker Club at the No10 Spring Knockout.
Keith Thomas and Tony Smyth got to the final, with Keith winning 2-0 with a great 51 break to knock Tony out.
Thanks to all who attended and for the great turnout.

This week we had a visit from World Snooker Services of Bristol. A big thanks to Eugene and his team who fitted No.10 tournament cloth to all 3 tables.

This week also marked the start of our ladder competition, and with the Ceredigion Summer league fast approaching, plus our own competition on Sunday, it marks a pretty busy period for the club!

Yr wythnos hon hefyd oedd dechrau ein cystadleuaeth ysgol, a chyda chynghrair Haf Ceredigion yn agosáu'n gyflym, ynghyd â'n cystadleuaeth ein hunain ddydd Sul, mae'n nodi cyfnod prysur iawn i'r clwb!

Mae Clwb Snwcer Llandysul yn cydweithio ag Ysgol Bro Teifi i sicrhau’r genhedlaeth nesaf o chwaraewyr lleol. Mae gan y pentref yng Ngheredigion glwb snwcer ers 1909, a hynny ar ôl i’r Llandysul Institute benderfynu bod angen rhywbeth amgenach ar ddynion ifainc lleol nag yfed mewn tafarnau.

It has been a busy few days at the club. Firstly, hosting the Ceredigion League doubles competition on Sunday which was won by Gwynant Ellis and Rhydian Ap Owen, beating Andy Green and Eifion Harries in the final. An excellent performance from the pair of them and a well deserved win.

Then, onto Monday evening which saw the club host Felindre A & Aberaeron A in the final of the Ceredigion League Singles/Doubles & Trebles competition. After some hard fought frames, it went down to the colours on the final frame, with Felindre emerging as the winners.

A mention to Eifion Harries who made 2 finals in 2 days!

With the end of the league season approaching, we will be releasing details our ladder and summer competitions shortly, and hopefully some exciting developments at the club.

Mae wedi bod yn ddiwrnodau prysur yn y clwb. Yn gyntaf, cynnal cystadleuaeth dyblau Cynghrair Ceredigion ddydd Sul a enillwyd gan Gwynant Ellis a Rhydian Ap Owen, gan g**o Andy Green ac Eifion Harries yn y rownd derfynol. Perfformiad rhagorol gan y ddau ohonynt a buddugoliaeth haeddiannol.

Yna, ymlaen i nos Lun pan welodd y clwb Felindre A ac Aberaeron A yn rownd derfynol cystadleuaeth Senglau/Dyblau a Threblau Cynghrair Ceredigion. Ar ôl rhai fframiau caled, aeth hi i lawr i'r lliwiau ar y ffrâm olaf, gyda Felindre yn dod i'r amlwg fel yr enillwyr.

Crybwylliad i Eifion Harries a gyrhaeddodd 2 rownd derfynol mewn 2 ddiwrnod!

Gyda diwedd tymor y gynghrair yn agosáu, byddwn yn rhyddhau manylion ein cystadlaethau ysgol a haf yn fuan, a gobeithio rhai datblygiadau cyffrous yn y clwb.

A busy night at the club, with all 3 tables in use since 2pm (you can't beat it!). A few nice breaks aswell, with both the kettle and the tables heaters keeping the place warm 😀
Now has never been a better time to join one of the most active and friendly clubs in Ceredigion 👍🎱

Everyone at World Snooker Tour is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of legendary snooker player and broadcaster John Virgo, aged 79.

Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.

Congratulations to Shaheen Miah and Thomas Clemas on making the final of our 'short' competition on Sunday evening, with Shaheen winning the single frame final.

We hope to have more of these evening competitions, so keep an eye out on the members WhatsApp group.

January marks the start of our membership year at Llandysul Snooker Club and there has never been a better time to join.

We are always looking for new members to join our friendly and active club. We welcome players of all abilities, so if you would like to give Snooker a try in '26, please drop us a message where we will be happy to help with any membership enquiries and arrange an induction.

Full membership is £30 for the year. Juniors are £15. Message us for any enquiries, where we will be happy to help....................................................................................

Mae mis Ionawr yn nodi dechrau ein blwyddyn aelodaeth yng Nghlwb Snwcer Llandysul ac nid oes erioed wedi bod amser gwell i ymuno.

Rydym bob amser yn chwilio am aelodau newydd i ymuno â'n clwb cyfeillgar a gweithgar. Rydym yn croesawu chwaraewyr o bob safon, felly os hoffech chi roi cynnig ar Snwcer yn '26, anfonwch neges atom lle byddwn yn hapus i helpu gydag unrhyw ymholiadau aelodaeth a threfnu sesiwn gyflwyno.

A big thankyou to everyone who attended our 'New Year Knock' competition on Sunday.

It was our best attendance for a competition this year and it didn't disappoint.

After a hard fought series of matches with 21 players in 3 groups, our eventual finalists were Anthony Davies and Miles Freeland, with Miles emerging as the winner in a typically close match, prevailing with a 2-1 scoreline.

A big thankyou must go to Miles, who is also our competition secretary and organised a very enjoyable event. Also, to David Foulds for introducing some technology to proceedings which helped the event run much better on the day.

We now look forward to a new year which we hope to be as good as the one we have just enjoyed.
