The owner of this limestone floor asked if I could make it shine once more.

I gladly obliged and polished the floor to a high level of shine.

Look at the reflective finish that was achieved and see how well the sealer helps the floor repel moisture. Aside from the water droplets, the floor is bone dry - highly skilled work.

One of the biggest misconceptions we come across is when people ask, "Do you use WoolSafe products?"

The answer might be "yes"... but that doesn't necessarily mean the cleaner is trained to clean wool.

Anyone can buy a cleaning product with the WoolSafe logo on the bottle. That's a bit like owning a stethoscope – it doesn't make you a doctor.

Being a WoolSafe Service Provider is about far more than the products you use. It involves specialist training in identifying wool, understanding how it behaves, recognising the risks, and knowing the correct cleaning methods to protect it.

Many carpet cleaning courses introduce wool as part of their training, but WoolSafe training goes much further, focusing specifically on the unique characteristics and care of wool carpets and rugs.

The product is only one part of the equation. Knowledge and experience are what really protect your investment.

We were reminded of this recently after being asked to rectify a wool carpet where the right type of product had reportedly been used, but the cleaning process wasn't appropriate for the fibre.

If you own a valuable wool carpet, it's worth asking not only what products your cleaner uses, but whether they're a WoolSafe Service Provider.

This was the wastewater emptied from our extraction system after cleaning an Amtico floor.

Although these floors often look clean, dirt, grease and grime work their way deep into the textured surface, grooves and joints where mops simply can’t reach. Over time, this build-up dulls the finish and leaves the floor looking tired.

Thanks to all my amazing customers who continue to trust in me by using my services and pass on my details to everyone else.

Thanks also to my incredible suppliers and industry trainers who continue to train and support me and help me to continually develop and grow Hydro Kleen.

Here is some leather piping repair work I carried out. The pigment had come off through thirty years of wear and tear.

A thorough deep clean followed by my leather repair process and a first time colour match led to a great result and another very happy customer.

Here is a quick update regarding our upcoming availability.

• Next available appointment is Tuesday the 30th at around 11.30

• Next available morning appointment is Monday the 13th of July

• I may have short notice appointments available on the week commencing the 5th of July as I’ve been called for jury service. I will keep you all updated as I have to call in daily to see if I am required for the following day.

The benefits of having your carpets professionally deep cleaned by Hydro Kleen this summer… Part 1

This customer has a busy household of four, plus a cat and a dog.

Before I arrived, they’d already vacuumed, and to the naked eye the carpets looked perfectly clean.

However, a professional deep clean starts long before any water touches the carpet.

I got straight to work with my Sebo vacuum and a brand-new bag, thoroughly vacuuming the living room, hallway, fireside rug, bedroom, kitchen and entrance areas.

Once finished, I emptied the bag to show exactly what had been removed — purely from vacuuming alone.

Take a look at the photos. That’s the difference between a professional-grade vacuum and a typical household vacuum. 😉

It’s not just the visible dirt, grit and pet hair either. Carpets can harbour dead skin cells, dust mites and their droppings, pollen, and other microscopic contaminants that build up over time in busy family homes.
