Shimmer & shine - Cleaning and shopping service My name is Heather and I am single mum with a young daughter. I am an experienced care assistant and therefore able to offer an Accompanied shop.

I have decided to take a leap of faith and move on from my job as a community care assistant and offer a personalised cleaning and shopping service. I am partnered with other businesses as a sub contractor (fees discussed on request) helping out when you need a service completing but might not be able to take on another employee. I will collect you from home, take you to your supermarket of choice

, help you to complete your shopping and take you home, of course I will also help you unpack and put away. Customers can choose an unaccompanied shop, this means I can go and do your weekly shop on your behalf and I will also help you unpack it and put it away too. Accompanied shops are proving popular for older people, those with Mild Learning difficulties and those who are struggling with their mental health and want company while they shop. I am a compassionate person, it matters to me to me that I support people to feel they still have their independence. I have a fully enhanced DBS certificate and am insured for extra peace of mind. While I grow my offers for the community I will be focusing on the following communities to offer my services, please do ask if you are outside the following postcode areas as I may have availability for you. L3 (city centre surcharge applies if parking not available at property), L4, L5, L20,L22,L23, L30, L37, L24

shimmer and shine are taking on new clients after being fully booked since march. I have a enhanced crb check and bring all my own products to clean with including hoover and mop (unless the client prefers to use their own). i also use fresh cloths at each clients to contain infectious diseases. I have a fantastic reputation and i am fully insured, as we all know accidents do happen (luckily not yet for me) so you will have no concerns over your precious items.

I set up this business as a single mum struggling to work around school and it has been the best thing i have ever done. I held have held down my previous job for 7 years but unfortunately it didn’t work around child care any more. I take absolute pride in what i do and do it to the best of my ability because i am self employed i can only rely on my own income and as we all know word of mouth is key in any business.
