Yesterday evening David and myself had the privilege of attending and collecting the Grand Orange lodge of Ireland's outstanding service award in the community . To be nominated for this award we applied under the banner of LOL 1924, but we all know lodge members only play a small part in the effort that makes the whole thing work. Under the guidance of Ian Patterson we come together drawing people from different parts . Ballylesson Old Boys with Leslie, Jill and many of the members from the band who attended all the events organised by the Drumbo area actions committee. The band also ran event's raising money for our nominated charity. Drumbo craft club with Heather and team working away at our breakfasts mornings selling their crafts at the Christmas market donating the profits to our charity . Members from RBP1016, Drumbo Apprentice Boys no surrender club & members from different lodges who all come together at events erecting gazebos putting out tables, chairs, Santa and tractor run and much much more. The people from the community who have no affiliation to any of the above who come and support us at all our events this award is for You all. If I have left any one out I can only apologise as it would take pages to name all that help and what we have achieved. Glyn.
