We’ve been a little quiet on social media… and that’s actually a good thing!

The last few weeks have been incredibly busy here at Planet Pest Control, with early starts, late finishes, and plenty of miles covered across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and beyond.

• Lots of wasp nest treatments (it’s definitely that time of year!)
• Rodent inspections and proofing work still keeping us busy, even through the summer.
• A number of bed bug inspections and treatments for both domestic and commercial clients.
• We’ve also welcomed two new commercial customers onto ongoing pest management contracts this month.

Behind the scenes, things are moving too…

We’re now a preferred pest control supplier for a national company, and we’re already planning the next stage of Planet Pest Control’s growth, including bringing another team member on board to help us support more customers and expand the areas we cover.

“Super” bed bugs? Why professional treatment matters.

Recent news reports have highlighted growing concerns that some bed bug populations are becoming more resistant to certain insecticides. While not every infestation involves resistant bed bugs, it does reinforce one important point…

Thankfully it doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it can really throw your day off—especially when you’re covering hundreds of miles for customers.

Out and about in Lincolnshire today — mole control on a local community field 🎳🐾

🐕 Bed Bug Detection Dog Success Stories 🐕

Our canine team recently attended a property where the homeowner had already undergone multiple bed bug treatments but still lacked confidence that the issue had been resolved.

After a full inspection of the property, our detection dog gave no indications of live bed bug activity. The client was able to move forward with peace of mind and has reported no further issues since.

In a separate case, we were called to a hotel following a guest complaint of bites. A previous visual inspection by another company had found no evidence of bed bugs, but concerns remained.

Our bed bug detection dog screened the affected rooms and gave multiple indications. Further inspection by our technician confirmed evidence of bed bug activity, allowing treatment to be carried out quickly and the affected rooms returned to service as soon as possible.
