Most drainage problems don’t suddenly appear overnight.

They usually start with small warning signs that are easy to ignore:

• Slow draining sinks or showers

🚽 Are “flushable” wipes really flushable?

Despite what the packaging says, so-called flushable wipes are one of the most common causes of blocked drains.

Unlike toilet paper, wipes don’t break down properly in water. Instead they can:

❌ Catch on rough pipe joints
❌ Combine with grease and debris
❌ Form stubborn blockages and fatbergs
❌ Lead to costly emergency drain callouts

🚨 What actually happens when drains block - and what we do to fix it

With all the recent rain across Leicester and the Midlands, we are seeing a sharp rise in blocked drains and emergency callouts.
