Meet the face behind The Sewing Studio. Roshan has just turned 60 and living her life long dream to teach others how to sew. Her first job was for the Corah knitware company in the 70's. Roshan's love for sewing begin when she opened her first textile shop in the 90's, her passion for sewing grew, many pattern cutting classes & CAD lessons later in the 2000's she began to manufacture clothes line of men/women's attire as well as designing a signiture clothing collection for Naqsh....did I mention amongst all her other commitments, short courses, extensive world travel she managed to complete a Degree in Fashion and Custume Design as well as a teaching qualification. We are super proud of her, congratulations to Roshan 🎊 👏 💐

Have you always wanted to learn how to sew or alter that item hanging in your wardrobe? Our beginners course will introduce you to the equipment, skills and techniques needed to sew. You will learn how to create a sewing pattern and make your garment from start to finish. These intimate group lessons are limited to a maximum of 6 people. We are offering an introductory price of £100 for 6 x 2 hour lessons with all resources and a portfolio provided. Two beginners classes starting on Sunday 5th at 11am or Wednesday 8th at 11am. Alternatively register your details for the advanced levels. We are based in the heart of Highfields (on top of The Islamic Establishment, Ashfordby St) We also specialise in repairs and alterations of bridal and occasional wear.
