🍪 Friday was National Biscuit Day 🍪

With the British consuming an average of 52 biscuits every second, this unofficial holiday gave us the perfect excuse to hold a ‘taste & rate’ session of our favourite biscuits in the Bistro.

The results from Jubilee House are in (we have refined tastes 😁):

🥇 No. 1 - Ginger biscuits
🥈 A very close second - the UK’s ultimate favourite, the milk chocolate digestive.

Another special afternoon spent with the students from St Patrick's Catholic Primary School ✨

The children brought along their creative writing books and proudly shared their stories with our residents, who were incredibly impressed by their imagination, creativity, and storytelling skills.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect across generations and celebrate the talents of these young writers. Thank you to everyone involved for making the afternoon so memorable. 🩷📝📖🫶

Kofi’s 'Music Through the Decades' continues to be one of our absolute favourite party activities - bringing back memories, sparking smiles, and getting us on our feet, tapping our toes and having a blast 🎶✨

Today, we danced our hearts out to the sounds of the 70s, singing along to the classics and enjoying every moment together. The energy was incredible, the moves were unforgettable, and the smiles said it all!

We well and truly rocked Jubilee House and can’t wait to see which decade we’ll be travelling back to next! 🩷💃🕺

Marisela has been part of the JH Kitchen Team since we opened, and her kindness, humour, enthusiasm, cheerful smile and infectious laugh are a big part of our days (her birthday cakes are legendary too!).

Thank you Marisela, for always going out of your way to make sure everything runs smoothly and that everyone has what they need. You are a superstar, and we’re so grateful for everything you do.
