New research from LG finds that 99% of Britons cannot recognise common garment care symbols on labels. It concludes that a lack of understanding of basic laundry instructions is leading to over £2 billion worth of clothing being ruined each year.

29% of respondents couldn't identify any symbols correctly, almost half admit to not checking garment care instructions, Not even one in 10 respondents could identify a symbol for a normal tumble dry. They concluded on average an individual will damage £3969 worth of garments in the wash over their life time!!

THAT'S CERTAINLY A HIGH PRICE FOR IGNORING A TINY LABEL!
