Double-sided magic in Dumfries.

Today we installed this beautiful double-sided stove, and we couldn't be happier with how it's turned out!

This one was a proper challenge. We opened up the old chimney breast, fitted a fully lined fireplace chamber with a black riven slate hearth, and set this Charlton & Jenrick Ltd Woodtec 8KW double sided Woodburner stove right in the middle so the flames can be enjoyed from both rooms. Seeing it come together was hugely satisfying.

We know it's not quite finished yet (there's still some tidying and finishing to do around the opening), but we were too excited not to share it with you!

Another stunning install finished in Carlisle! 🔥

We were delighted to fit this Morsø stove into a beautiful Chesney's fire surround. The classic bolection design in soft limestone looks incredibly stylish against the deep blue walls of this modern room, and the bespoke lit shelving makes the whole space feel really special.

The honed black slate hearth and slips give a sharp, contemporary contrast to the stone, and the oak flooring sits neatly around the hearth to finish it off. Classic design and modern living work so well together.

A stove isn't just a heat source, it's the heart of a room. 🏡

Lexands Stoves 🔥 Fireplaces and woodburning stoves, installed with passion.

Wherever we go, we can't help ourselves — we're always on the lookout for a beautiful fireplace, and this one at Carlisle stopped us in our tracks (pardon the pun).

This would've been the heart of the old first class waiting room, keeping travellers warm over a century ago. Fireplaces like this were never just functional; they were a statement, a gathering point, the thing a room was built around.

That's exactly what gets us excited about what we do. A well-designed fireplace or stove isn't just heating — it's the feature that makes a room feel like somewhere you want to be.

Also did you know that all the clocks on the mezzanine are set to 6:48pm because the station was opened in 1848. ⏰🕥🕰️🕦
Anyone else find themselves fireplace-spotting wherever you travel? 😄
