What a day to be up high ☀️ swept and fitted cowls to two chimneys on a huge renovation project in Hove right by the seafront. 23m up today so the harness was out ✅

Not a bad day to be on a roof 👌🏻

Back up and running as normal today. After a couple of weeks without transport, today was the first day back on the sweeps with the new motor. Apologies to anyone I have had to rearrange lately!

☀️ Beautiful day to be up on a roof, four caps fitted for a customer and a couple of sweeps.

It’s been a miserable, wet winter but hopefully that is it now. Please do get in contact if your open fire or log burner needs a sweep after the winter just gone. Also this is the perfect time to get up on a roof and get those chimney pots fitted with caps and cowls!

An old birds nest removed from a capped off chimney.

The customer had damp issues within the chimney. This was the reason why. Three bags of nest removed this morning. It was damp, wet and was stopping any ventilation throughout the chimney.

Nesting season is in progress but as this was an old nest and the chimney was capped, the nest wasn’t in use and therefor could be removed.

First post in a while but still ticking over this summer. I have noticed an increase in demand over the last few weeks and we are nearing the start of the busy period getting our appliances ready for the colder weather.

If you have an open fire, log burner or multistove and it has not been swept and checked over by a professional since last winter, please do get in touch.

Plenty of availability currently but this will change over the coming months!

After a hectic winter and with the rise in energy prices more and more people reverted to the older, more traditional methods of heating their homes. 🔥

As we start to move away from the colder months (apparently) 🥶 I now have more availability. If you have been using your stove or open fires frequently over the Christmas period please get in touch for a sweep and test. ✅

A job from today. The customer had never used the fireplace previously and wanted to put it to use this winter.

At the top of the pot was a roof tile cemented on that needed to come off. This was replaced with an anti downdraught cowl to prevent the wind from coming down the chimney and to secure it.

Chimney swept, draw tested and she’s good to go 👍🏻
