Professional pest management involves much more than simply putting down poison!

As you can see here, mice have made it inside the tamper-proof box but not actually eaten the bait (poison) inside! This issue, known as behavioural resistance or bait shyness, is becoming increasingly common in urban areas throughout the country.

If you have a problem with rodents, or if you have a contract to prevent problems, bait may be part of our recommendations but more likely we will provide advice and recommendations on proofing, housekeeping and hygiene. We may also use traps and a variety of bait formulations to get the most effective control we can.

Here’s the lengths we will go to in order to avoid harming these vital insects! Unfortunately these bees chose a bird box in an unsuitable location as their home for the year. Our technician was able to safely seal up the box before removing it and relocating it.

It was moved to a woodland site belonging to a children’s nursery where it will be used to help teach pupils about the importance of bees in nature!

Did you know that bees are very important to our environment due to the role they play in pollinating plants and crops? And did you know that bees are very unlikely to sting unless disturbed or provoked?

That’s why our company policy is to leave these important insects bee... do you see what we did there?! 😉

Even although we won’t be carrying out insecticide treatment of bees, we’re always on hand to offer advice on other options if you do find yourself sharing your space with some bees. And of course, wasp treatments will go ahead as normal due to the public health risks associated with wasps.
