It's coming back around!

🌱Algae🌱

Love it or hate it it has its place the main reason it is in your pond is nutrients if you don't have pond plants in your pond or a screen over your pond (especially if you have fish) this PLANT will thrive ways to combat it:
🌿Plant aquatic plants to steal those nutrients
🍂 Limit the debris in your pond
🌞 Add a uv light (make sure you change your bulb regularly
🧪There are some products you can use but where possible always true natural remedies or with a uv light there's no additives being added to the water.

If you have loads your probably best to remove it all and having a deep clean and implement some of the above or it will just die off and spike your water parameters and that's also dangerous.

Had the pleasure to work on this pond yesterday as you can see it was thick in sludge and deadly toxins, very heavy algae the lily's root system was the biggest I have ever seen 1ft deep thick across the whole pond.💩⚠️
It was all cutt back removed and replaces with 2 saved lillys now in pots for easy maintenance.🌿
Fish was extremely happy they can now see their friends and their loving owners. The water quality is perfect and they have gained a mass amount of space! 🐟🐠🐡

Remember your pond should be your gardens centre and can be often thought as something you haven't got round to doing yet. Let me take it off the list so you can enjoy your beautiful pets and the occasional frog! 🐸

The stuff of nightmares!😱😱

This was in a clients filter box today after being left all winter untouched whilst fish will love a cheeky snack but quite honestly they're gross!!

Regular maintenance is integral for keeping a healthy and flourishing pond.

Love a bog filter replicating nature in its truest form! 🌿🌱However it isn't a endless stream so don't be fooled it will need some maintenance all be it far less depending on how hard you make it work!

Have a pond that's not got that "natural look"🌴💦
Belows a nice cheap and easy DIY pond build that looks great and can be done on a budget however you will need to spend more time on maintenance a good wash Down and vacuum maybe twice a year as it has no shelter sludge build up will be great and the great those slabs look the better!! Have an overflow waterfall filter or a matting in the filter bays? With all the snow and bad weather of recent, debris from your surrounding plants will be falling straight into your pond and chances are your not sitting by the pond having your morning coffee like you was in the summer... Yet this time of year your fish's immune system is incredibly vulnerable and you still need to do your maintenance if you can't don't let your fish suffer PRS could be the solution.
