Mould Removal Treatments
I receive lots of messages about mouldy items, so I just wanted to clear a few things up ❤️
Not all fabrics and items can safely be treated for mould. I will always assess the item first and let you know honestly whether I think it can be saved.
Under no circumstances will I clean a mouldy car seat. Once mould has grown, the integrity and safety of the car seat can no longer be guaranteed. Because of this, I will not clean one, even at the owner’s discretion.
For mouldy cots and next-to-me cribs, cleaning is carried out at the owner’s discretion. However, I will not clean mouldy mattresses. Although the products I use are thoroughly rinsed multiple times, there is still a possibility that traces of treatment or odour could remain. Personally, I would never be 100% confident that a mouldy mattress is completely safe, so I choose not to clean them. The rest of the cot or crib can still be cleaned if requested.
Bouncers, prams, high chairs and most other items can usually be cleaned and treated to a high standard. However, with mould there is always a small chance it can return, as sometimes it may have penetrated areas that cannot be seen. This will always be explained before any treatment is carried out.
If you’re ever unsure whether an item can be saved, please feel free to message me and I’ll always do my best to help and advise you.
First and foremost, the safety of your little ones will always be my main priority. I would never put money before safety, so please rest assured that any advice I give is always with your baby’s best interests at heart.
Thank you all so much for your continued support 🤎 I’m currently working my way through messages, and just a reminder that I’m away until 16th June🤍
