Up early to drive through and see what the Kelpies were all about 🐴

There was hardly a person in sight when we got there. It wasn’t the same story an hour later when we left!

I was genuinely taken aback by how stunning they were.

The walks around them were brilliant too… and flat. 🙌🏻

Next trip, I’m definitely going to see them lit up at night.

Buildings don’t usually go from looking great to looking tired overnight.

It starts small.

Glass not getting the same attention.

Looking for some extra income over the summer? We are seeking reliable cleaners for temporary cover throughout June, July, and August, with the possibility of a regular position for the right person after the 3 month period.

💰 Pay: £12.75 per hour
⏰ Hours: Up to 10 hours per week
🌅 Start Time: 07:15 AM
📍 Location: Kilmarnock & surrounding areas

Requirements:
✅ Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
✅ Must be reliable, thorough, and comfortable with an early start.
✅ No experience? No problem! Full training and uniform are provided.

I can’t be the only one who does this… 🚪

Wash hands. Grab a paper towel.
Use it to turn off the tap.
Use it to flush.
Use it to open the door.
Then attempt a ridiculous three pointer into the bin on the way out 🏀😂

And if there’s no paper towel?
Suddenly I’m clawing the top of the door trying to escape without touching the handle.

Funny thing is, most of us have our own version of this. We treat that door handle like it’s the most dangerous thing in the building.

Then five minutes later we’re making a brew, opening the fridge and pressing microwave buttons without a second thought ☕️

Shared workplaces are funny like that. Hundreds of people using the same spaces every day, but only a few things ever seem to matter.

Maybe that’s why the little details matter more than we realise.

From the outside it looks productive. Meetings happening, teams collaborating, constant movement, business growing.

But inside the operation you see what that actually creates.

High footfall through entrances

Kitchens and canteens constantly in use

Washrooms that never really get a quiet period

That’s not a problem. That’s the reality of a building that’s being used properly.

The issue is when cleaning gets treated like something that can be squeezed in around it.
