🦜PARROTS ARE DESTROYING MY HOME!🦜

A recent residential customer contacted us regarding noises outside their flat. Upon surveying we identified a population of Ring-Necked Parakeet (Psittacula krameri).

We spoke to the building managers and other residents who stated it has been an ongoing issue that appears to reoccur annually.

The building managers stated that a mesh was placed over open boiler vents as the Birds had previously broken the plastic louvers to gain access to the wall cavities.

Upon surveying we identified this individual carefully snipping the wire mesh to regain access! Because this species can only be controlled under specific circumstances under the general licence we had limited options to help prevent futher damage to the buildings.

Heavy duty proofing options have been offered to the management company at this time 🤞

🪳 COCKROACHES! 🪳

A recent residential customer contacted us regarding Insects in their flat. Upon surveying we identified a large German Cockroach (Blattella germanica) infestation running throughout the block of flats.

We spoke to the building managers and other residents who stated it has been an ongoing issue that appears to come and go.

We arranged for a damp specialist to carry out a survey with multiple leaks being found in riser cupboards throughout the building.

A local plumber has repaired all leaks throughout the building. Warrior Pest Control UK carried out a block treatment in infested flats and communal areas, which has resulted in a Cockroach free building 👍

Warrior Pest Control UK Pest Control had the recent opportunity to support Scott Richardson Shooting at one of his new permissions.

The primary objective was to establish where the Deer were congregating, while also managing any Fox activity encountered along the way. The ground certainly did not disappoint; we observed a herd of more than 20 Fallow Deer (Dama dama) and humanely dispatched 7 Foxes (Vulpes vulpes) within the space of 3 hours.

We are in the process of creating a Deer Management Plan for the site to reduce the population to a healthy size. This will benefit the herds overall health and prevent excessive ground and habitat damage in the process.

A recent residential customer contacted us regarding Ants in their flat. Upon surveying we identified a large Pharaoh Ant (Monomorium pharaonis) infestation running throughout the block of flats.

We spoke to the building managers and other residents who stated it has been an ongoing issue that appears to keep getting worse.

We arranged for all residents to remove DIY Ant powders and bait stations as this can often cause "budding" to occur with this species. We began implementing a block treatment a while back with regular follow up visits.

Residents and the building managers have reported a noticeable difference with regular visits confirming a large reduction in activity. We expect an Ant free site in the upcoming months 👍

🐀 WHERE ARE THEY COMING FROM🔎

A recent residential customer contacted us due to having a long-term issue with Rats. Upon arrival the customer stated they have had a few companies out over the years but they were unfortunately unable to locate the initial ingress.

We asked if the manholes had been inspected or if CCTV drain surveys had been advised previously. To our surprise the customer said "no never, why?"

We surveyed the manholes and identified ingress into the building via a collapsed mains waste line. A local plumber was able to access and repair the damaged pipe and we installed Rat gates to the system to prevent future ingress into the residence!

🐭 I HEAR NOISES IN MY WALL 🪚

A residential customer recently contacted us, as they were hearing noises in their wall. Upon arrival the customer explained frequent noises were being heard in a stud wall by the kitchen.

We managed to locate a heat source and after the customer permitted us, we cut an opening and located an active House Mouse (Mus musculus) nest.

We managed to remove all of the nesting material along with X6 juvenile Mice. A x3 part treatment and additional proofing works has seen a clear result for the customer 👍

A farmer has contacted us regarding an ongoing Rabbit issue on their fields. We arranged to carry out a survey and completed a Marksman display to demonstrate our safe shooting practices.

We managed to remove 22 European Rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) from a small field during our demonstration.

The customer was very happy and has provided shooting permission over the farm and has also permitted additional control methods via Ferreting.

A customer has contacted us regarding a long standing Rat issue around their Equine stables and Chicken coop.

We recommended a night shooting programme to ensure effective control and to not disturb any Horse and rider activities during daylight hours.

We managed to bag a large number of Brown Rats (Rattus norvegicus) on our first evening along with these exceptionally large X4 Giants!

🕊️ PIGEONS EVERYWHERE 🕊️

A customer has contacted us regarding large Feral Pigeon (Columba Livia domestica) numbers in the workspace. The site had attempted to control the issue via proofing and falconry flights with no noticeable change in activity.

We have recommended either a shooting or trapping programme with the customer opting for an out of hours shoot.

We managed to remove the population within 2 hours using fully qualified Marksmen! The customer has reported no further sightings since the shoot stating "Great success, we should have called you sooner".
