The cute Squirrel that many of us encourage and feed in our gardens can become a real nuisance.

Along with mice and rats, squirrels can chew through the ceiling and electrical wires, resulting in a great deal of damage over a short period.

Squirrels will find entry points via the guttering and openings in the roof space. Installing gutter proofing such as guards and covers is a good way in helping to keep the wildlife from entering our homes.

So, if you have any questions about products or need advice, we are here to help.

Do you know how the cluster fly survives in the winter?

During autumn, the cluster fly lays its eggs in warm places. The eggs will hatch throughout the winter and continue to reproduce, meaning the cycle continues.

So, this can all take place in our homes, behind walls, in lofts, garages, and storage spaces. Various entry points are; cracks in window frames, door trims, or even utility outlet pipes.

Cluster flies are known as indoor pests during the winter months so, just because you may not see them, they are still around.

We have a wealth of knowledge on various products and ways of proofing your home to prevent these unwanted visitors. We are here to help, so please do get in touch.

Check your Christmas decorations!

With just over five weeks to Christmas, we will be retrieving our decorations from our lofts, garages, and storage spaces.

As rats and mice like to chew and gnaw electrical wiring, it is wise before you plug them in to inspect fairy lights for teeth marks.

A giveaway of their presence is gnawed and chewed corners of cardboard boxes.

We are here to help. So, if you need advice or the professional removal of unwanted house visitors, please get in contact.

It’s that time of the year when our gardens are full of fallen leaves!

When clearing them up from our lawns and drives, we should also think about the gutters.

Installing gutter proofing such as guards and covers can be a good way for stopping leaves and debris from building up and resulting in blockages. It can also help in keeping wildlife, mainly birds and squirrels from getting into lofts and nesting.

So if you have any questions about products or need advice, we are here to help.

With wet, cold days to look forward to, the common pests such as; rats, mice, and squirrels will be seeking out warm, cozy places to snuggle up in during the winter months. This can mean inside our homes, garages, outbuildings, and workplaces.

Even though these pests often look cute, having them living alongside us in our home is not ideal. The damage to gnawed cables and furniture can often lead to unwanted expensive repair bills.

We are here to help you. So if you need advice on any aspect of pest control to keep your home pest-free, please do give us a call.
