It’s that time of year again. Roof cleaning season has begun. You can see the difference between the areas that have been scraped and not scraped.

We remove moss by hand, never by pressure washer. Once removed the roof is treated with a biocide to prevent regrowth and to get rid of any remaining bits of moss in the crevices.

Bit of a long video but worth watching to the end. This is why you shouldn’t have your downpipes hard against the grate. Over time moss and other debris collects at the bottom with no where to go causing it to compact and block.

As you can see this causes green staining on the wall and could cause damp problems inside the property. All tidied up and onto the next one.
