We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant/Ironer to join our team. This role involves ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of laundry items, primarily in a hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills and able to work as part of a team. This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional setting where quality and efficiency are highly valued.

Permanent Position

15 to 45 hrs/week depending on the time of year

£13/hr

Employed or Self Employed Position

Responsibilities

Sorting, washing, drying, and folding laundry items according to established standards
Ironing and pressing garments to achieve a crisp, professional appearance - with a commercial iron
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area
Monitoring laundry equipment for proper operation and reporting any faults
Assisting with inventory management of laundry supplies and detergents
Adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times during operations
Skills

Experience within the holiday let industry preferred but not essential
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Good time management with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Laundry Assistant to work Saturdays.

The job is at Mullacott Industrial Estate and entails mainly the packing of orders.

This role requires someone that is extremely organized and with great attention to detail.

Good customer skills as well as command of English language needed (although experience not necessary) to help with clients - face to face and over the phone.

Other tasks like loading/unloading machines and linen folding may be required as well.

Other days/hours may become available to cover holidays and busier periods, but availability for the extra work is not essential.

This position pays £13/hr and exact hours will be discussed at interview level as some flexibility is accepted.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Laundry Assistant to join our busy team at Mullacott Industrial Estate, North Devon for seasonal weekend work.
Position Details

Weekend work: Saturdays & Sundays

Seasonal role: Immediate start until end of September

Opportunity for ongoing ad hoc work afterwards

£13 per hour

Paid weekly

Applicants must be 18+

Some flexibility available with hours

Exact working hours discussed at interview

Duties Include:

Sorting and processing laundry

Folding and packing linen

Preparing orders for delivery

General laundry duties within a busy commercial environment
