The building required:

⭐Re-damp proofing and re-plastering of certain areas
⭐Improved ventilation solutions, including new extractors in the kitchen and bathroom and installation of trickle vents on all windows
⭐Killing any remaining mould with Inducoat specialist mould spray

🧐 Is there really any difference between ANTI-fungal and mould-RESISTANT paints?

🔬At this test site, the wall was cleaned and then the right side painted with Inducoat Anti-fungal coating and the left with standard mould resistant paint.

🔬These are the results 18 months later 🤷🏼‍♀️

🔬 Inducoat Anti-fungal paint actively encapsulates and KILLS fungi. Mould resistant coatings do not carry this technology and are therefore unable to actively kill mould.

Damp is so common in UK homes and whilst it can't always be totally stopped, it can be prevented and minimised.

Ventilation is key - open the window or check the extractor isn't full of dust, or consider getting a dehumidifier or help remove the moisture from the air.

It's when this moisture hits cold surfaces and condenses that we see damp and mould.
