NOT ALL COATINGS ARE INSTALLED EQUALLY
This Tesla Model Y was booked into the Valiant Detailing workshop for our New Car Preparation Service and Gtechniq Accredited Ceramic Coating Package.
Ceramic coatings are often spoken about as if the product and application are the main parts of the service. In reality, the preparation, environment and curing process are what determine how well that coating performs long term.
Before any coating are applied, the vehicle is safely washed, chemically decontaminated, inspected under dedicated workshop lighting and machine polished to refine the finish properly.
The paintwork, wheel faces and glass surfaces were then further prepared through dedicated panel wipe and IPA wipe-down stages to remove polishing oils, residues and any remaining contaminants, ensuring each coated surface was properly cleansed before the ceramic coatings were installed.
Once the coatings were installed, the vehicle was kept indoors in controlled workshop conditions before each coated surface was treated with short-wave infrared curing.
This is not done for effect. Infrared curing helps accelerate and stabilise the curing process, allowing coatings to bond and cure in better conditions before the vehicle is exposed to moisture, temperature changes, road film and normal use.
Ceramic coatings should not simply be applied and handed back out the door.
All coatings need the correct preparation, the correct environment and the correct time frame to perform as intended.
Better gloss. Easier maintenance. Stronger protection.
Installed properly from day one.
