CERAMIC COATING’S DONE RIGHT!
This Audi Q5 4x4 received our New Car Enhancement Detail and a Gtechniq Certified Dual-Layer Ceramic Coating Package.
All coated surfaces were infrared-cured with our short-wave IR heater 24 hours after application - a key step to ensure the coatings bond properly and achieve optimal durability before exposure to the elements.
In our experience, allowing coatings to cure for over 24 hours in a climate-controlled environment, followed by infrared curing, results in a significantly stronger and more durable installation.
Ceramic coatings offer a far more robust solution for enhancing protection and durability than traditional waxes or synthetic sealants. They lock in gloss, increase chemical resistance, and reduce surface tension - improving slickness and helping to minimise the risk of wash-induced swirl marks or light abrasions.
Additional benefits include an easier wash process, reduced maintenance time and product usage, and - importantly - no ongoing requirement for waxes or sealants after each wash.
Why This Matters:
Ceramic coatings don’t just “dry” - they cure. Controlled conditions and infrared curing allow coatings to bond and cure in optimal conditions, directly improving durability, resistance, and long-term performance.
Coatings will continue to cure, with natural UV exposure supporting the latter stages of cross-linking. However, without a diligent initial indoor curing process - that’s carried out under controlled conditions - coatings can be compromised before they ever have the chance to reach full performance.
