Do you work on yourself? 🤔

In any way at all?

Maybe it’s training, journalling, learning new skills, reading more, setting goals, or simply taking small steps towards the life you want.

Because once you start investing in yourself and recognising your potential, something shifts.
You begin to realise there could be a completely different path available to you.

“What could my life look like if I actually gave it a go?”

I never thought I’d change careers at 38.
I genuinely believed I’d stay in accounts forever — counting down the hours, dreading the commute, and feeling completely disconnected from the life I wanted.

Now at 41, I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. 🥰

I wake up excited for work.

I have purpose, passion, and a fire in my belly again.

And the best part? I get to help women change their lives and see what they’re truly capable of — and that is an absolute privilege 🤍

You don’t have to reinvent your whole life overnight.

But never underestimate where one brave decision or one small step could lead you.

Anyone else feel like life is just one constant “finding a new routine”? 😂

The last few weeks, I’ve felt completely out of sorts with no real structure to my days. And the reality is, our brains don’t love that. They like familiarity, consistency, and reducing unnecessary decisions wherever possible.

So even though my days haven’t exactly gone to plan — and probably won’t anytime soon with the school holidays — I’ve tried to keep a few anchor habits in place:

• A relatively consistent sleep/wake routine
• Prepping breakfast and lunch where I can
• Keeping fruit and protein bars handy for the chaotic days
• Exercising when possible, even if it’s not a full workout

Because sometimes “doing something” is better than doing nothing at all.

And finally… trusting that life will calm down soon — just in time for me to get comfortable again before the next routine change comes along 😂

Anyone else relate? 🤔

Could you imagine the person you could become if you chose to work on yourself? Investing in you, your health, your mindset, for 1 little year..... ooooh the possibilities......

365 days of complete self-development.

I love seeing the mindset shift in my clients. Like something just clicks, and they start seeing life differently.

Their bodies are no longer a thing they loathe, but something they know is amazing because of what it does for them.

They surprise themselves often in the gym with their physical strength, which then is taken into other aspects of life.

They become confident in their abilities after trying and enjoying new things.

They flip from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset. If I can do that in the gym, what else am I capable of.

They stop chasing weight loss and chase strength.

Making plans for their bodies for 10-20-30+ years time not this summer.

Working in and outside of the gym for the body and an app full of videos and exercises for the mind, and a weekly group coaching call, helping with topics like confidence, self worth, relationship with food to name a few, they're creating a future they didn't know existed.

This week is mental health week where once again there will be a lot of awareness.

So my favourite feel good is a smile.

Smiling is an instant mood booster releasing feel good chemicals in the body like serotonin, dopamine and endorphins.

They're bloody contagious. Try and not smile back at someone that smiles at you...... bet you can't 😂

Smiling can actually reduce anxiety as it calms the nervous system.

It can also boost your brain as smiling activates areas of the brain associated with reward and happiness reinforcing positive mental habits over time.

It's free.....

You can brighten your day and someone else's.

And finally......

Its the prettiest thing you can wear 😊

There are a few things I would love to hear when someone wants to work with me, rather than “I just want to lose weight”…… (the last one would be my favourite 😍).

▪️ I do nothing for myself, and I deserve to have some time to prioritise me and my health as I feel I can’t give my best if I don’t feel at my best.

▪️I know how important looking after myself physically and mentally is, I just don’t know where to start.

▪️ I’m getting older and headed towards/going through the change, and exercise can help balance my hormones, and your amazing programme will help me all around.

▪️ I want to be a good role model for my kids.

▪️I want more energy.

▪️I want to understand my body and nutrition to ensure I'm nourishing my body well.

▪️I keep hearing of the importance of muscle and need help understanding how to acquire such a thing 😂

▪️I have a crap mindset, and I heard you invite all clients to join you on your rainbow 🌈

IF YOURE LOOKING FOR THE SOFA THAT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE, THEN LOOK NO FURTHER. 😂

Other than my online clients that don't live nearby,  I invite ladies to the gym for a chat. A get to know one another. 9 out of 10 butts that sit on that sofa end up training with me.

I want to know all about you and your struggles, how I can best help you, and cater a workout you will enjoy and see if we are actually compatible.

It's so important you find the right coach for YOU. Not who is the cheapest or closest. Your coach is to be the person that is going to change your whole mind on exercise and health, choose wisely.

I have witnessed people evolve from that first chat into something amazing, and they are still on that journey. I have had clients from 25 years old all the way through to an amazing 77 🤯.

I've had women break evening snacking habits, ditch the mid week alcohol, come off depression and anxiety medication,  find a love for exercise, improving their happiness, I've seen soooo many surprised women when they see what they're truly capable of, I see fat lost, muscle built, smiles and laughter.

I'm not a PT that will beast you to get the fastest results, if thats what you're after, there are some amazing ones locally who I could even guide you to.

I'm a mental health and exercise coach. I help you flip the switch on everything and unleash the best you. My main goal in life is to literally spread joy (and see more of this beautiful world 🌍). I promise. If you have a joyful life, you will want it to last as long as possible, and that's where looking after your body comes into play.

Oooh this one made me think.

Whilst training yesterday I was listening to a podcast on health over 40 and they basically said this is the decade when everything will start to creep up 🫣.

I'm not gonna lie I get a bit pi**ed off when I'm made to feel like I'm in the era of decline coz I feel bloody tip top, or is that because of my habits?

Now just like many I didn't just wake up "in love" with exercise. It took years. First it was the "reason" wedding, then losing the baby weight. It wasn't until it stopped being for a specific purpose (or the gaps between holidays got to wide 😂) however, finding enjoyment in it that it stuck.

Challenging my body and brain to do different things, performance based goals, crazy 1000 rep workouts just to see if I can.

Then as the science evolves and I gain more and more interest in it I know its imperative to keep my body functioning as I want it to continue to and to starve off many diseases as possible.

It's never too late to start looking after your body.

And if you're anything like me you'll hate that the world thinks you can't do something coz you're getting older. So i'll do my best to call bu****it on that one 😂
