Rodent pests can be very determined in gaining access to your home! This customer couldn't work out how rats were getting into their loft. A Banish technician was able to locate this chewed drain-topper, which was allowing rodents access beneath roof tiles after climbing up a drain pipe. The infestation was promptly cleared and all potential entry points were securely sealed. The customer's loft spaces were then professionally cleaned and disinfected, to leave a safe home and happy customer!

Solar panels can be an expensive investment and as such they require professional protection and maintenance. When considering the risks to solar panels, you may not think of the damage that can be caused by pest birds.

Birds such as feral pigeons commonly choose to roost beneath panels due to the ideal harbourage away from the ground. On top of fouling and costly physical damage to the surface of the panels, their droppings, nests, eggs and carcasses will often lead to secondary infestation by flies, which can emerge regularly in high numbers in loft spaces, wall voids and from window frames or light fittings.

Banish provides a number of permanent and relatively inexpensive solutions, all involving clearance of fouling and cleaning and disinfection of the panels themselves and the roof beneath. We then install robust and aesthetically pleasing proofing measures such as mesh strips, netting or anti-roosting spikes to ensure pest birds are excluded and both your investment and your home are protected.

Springtails emerging. These had found a cosy spot under a bait box.
A close relative of the silverfish, they only eat detritus and have a short seasonal lifespan. Often mistaken for fleas due to their jumping abilities. They are not a pest and were left in peace.
