From Football Boots to Running Shoes 🏃♂️⚽
My son Harvey Killick is running his first London Marathon in just four weeks’ time, and I honestly couldn't be prouder of the effort he’s put in.
Most of you know that football has been Harvey’s life since he was five. He worked his way up to semi-pro level, but sadly, a shoulder injury, which caused his shoulder to dislocate 5 times & required an operation (only to fail) has forced forced Harvey to retire this year at only 25.
He was absolutely gutted to walk away from the sport he loves so much, but instead of dwelling on it, he decided to channel all that energy into something positive.
He’s now swapped the pitch for the pavement. Even after long, tiring days of physical work, he’s still out there every single week getting the miles in.
Harvey is running for Harris Hospice Care, a charity that does such incredible work. I think we’ve all seen firsthand, or known someone who has benefited from, the amazing care and dignity hospices provide to families when they need it most.
If you could spare a few pounds to help him reach his target, he would be so grateful. Every little bit honestly helps keep him going through these final weeks of training.
