📢 IMPORTANT BUSINESS NOTICE – EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY!

After nearly 3 years of running Mum To Maid, I have always tried my best to keep things fair, flexible and understanding for everyone. Unfortunately, we are no longer receiving that same consideration in return, and some changes now need to be made.
As this is our full-time job and how we earn our living, last-minute cancellations and late payments have a real impact on our business, our staff and our ability to cover costs.

🩷 CANCELLATIONS
Effective immediately, any cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a charge of 50% of the scheduled clean’s fee.
We understand that emergencies happen, and we will always try to be reasonable where possible. However, last-minute cancellations leave gaps in our working day that we often cannot fill, meaning lost income for us and our staff.

🩷 LATE PAYMENTS
Invoices are due for payment on the day they are sent. We should not have to spend extra time chasing payments for work that has already been completed.
Effective immediately, any invoice that remains unpaid after 24 hours will be subject to late payment fees. This additional admin takes time away from running the business and looking after our clients, and it simply isn't fair for payment to be continually chased.

We love what we do and appreciate every single client who supports Mum To Maid, but we also need to protect our business, our staff and our livelihoods.
We have always done our best to be fair and accommodating, and we kindly ask that the same respect and consideration are shown to us in return.

💗 A little reminder of the person behind Mum To Maid! 💗

Sometimes I think people forget that behind Mum To Maid, there is just ME!

I manage hundreds of domestic, holiday let and commercial clients, communicate with property owners and managers daily, and look after 24 members of staff, wooooo im out of breath, are you?🤣
all whilst raising my 3 children and cleaning myself 4 days a week!😴

On top of that, I'm recruiting, interviewing, training new and existing staff, advertising, invoicing, managing accounts, keeping paperwork up to date, and making sure my staff get paid. And that's just the start! 😂

I don't have a management team or admin staff behind me, simply because we can't afford that luxury. And if I did, our cleaning prices would have to increase to cover those costs, which is something I really don't want to do.
So, I choose to run Mum To Maid myself and keep things as affordable as possible for our clients. 💕

I pride myself on getting back to everyone. But please remember, I can't always reply instantly. Sometimes I'm cleaning, with my children, training, in meetings or dealing with one of the many other jobs that keep this business running.
I absolutely love what I've built, and I'm incredibly proud of how far we've come, but there are only so many hours in a day! 🫶

Behind every clean, every member of staff and every happy client, there's one person doing her absolute best to keep it all going. 💗

A little patience and understanding goes a long way, and I'm so grateful to everyone who supports Mum To Maid.
