You & Baby Postnatal

I have been taking a little break away from the business and went to work in a Pre-school. The kids are age 2-4 and boy are they energetic.

Spending the time with older children has allowed me to experience the highs and lows for when the kids go past the baby/toddler stage. (Outside of my own)

Its opened my eyes to how normal most behaviours are but you think as a parent - it’s only my child that does that. It’s not!

So now I would like to combine the two. Bring my YouandBaby Postnatal business back to life along with working at the preschool.

Kids are awesome. Baby, toddler or child!

The help and support Kelly provided all of us as a family has been so greatly appreciated. How far we’ve come is hard to articulate, but entirely felt, and Kelly has been such a huge part of that. We will forever be grateful to her for making the first days, weeks and months feel gentler, reminding us that everything that came in between was all for us and was to be taken and enjoyed one step at a time. Kelly made showering, hair washing, eating, nursing and resting possible and also not feel impossible. I love that no two journeys into motherhood are the same, but the love, knowledge and wisdom Kelly shared so honestly, openly and effortlessly really does provide so much reassurance and comfort.

Her kindness, calming presence and patience is invaluable company. May she never not share what she is here to do, the world is lucky to have her.

It’s official. My breastfeeding journey has come to an end. It has been an absolute pleasure having that special bond with my Girl. At 22 months the time had come that we both needed to move on. I am so full of mixed emotions, but I will carry the journey with me forever. How did you feel when your journey ended?

It’s World Doula Week. I knew I wanted to help women in the Postpartum period and becoming a Postnatal Doula has allowed me to do this.

It is an absolute honour to be allowed to enter someone’s home and share some of their most special and sacred moments with their newborn.

I sat cuddling my 19 mth old to sleep tonight. My heart was full of love and comfort knowing that some day the cuddles will become shorter but hopefully the love and comfort given to her now, will remain with her forever.

Whilst I was doing that, I was listening to my partner read to my 4 year old, and who is currently laying beside her until she has drifted off to slumber land.

It’s ALWAYS ok to cuddle/ feed or stay with your baby/toddler/child to sleep.

Last year I had the pleasure of helping a client prepare for having baby no 2. This client booked with me a Postnatal Planning session and this is what she had to say...
