We have been made aware that the landlord has placed a notice on the shop window stating that the premises will be opened for customer collections on Monday 29th September, between 5:00pm and 7:00pm.

👉 Please bring your ticket/receipt or proof of drop-off/payment to collect your garments.
👉 The landlord, who has taken control of the premises, is now responsible for providing access to your items.

We understand how stressful this has been — especially for those with urgent occasions coming up — and we remain committed to ensuring every customer gets their belongings back.

Customer Update – Flamsteads Dry Cleaning

Q: Where are my clothes?
All customer garments remain inside the shop. The landlord has changed the locks and taken possession of the premises, which means he now controls access.

Q: Who is responsible for my items?
The landlord is now in possession of all garments, fittings, cash, and business property inside the shop. We have formally asked him to provide contact details so customers can arrange collection directly.

Q: What are you doing about this?
We are taking urgent legal action (injunction application) to restore access and ensure all customer property is returned safely.

Q: How will I know what’s happening?
We will post regular updates here and contact customers directly as soon as arrangements for collection are confirmed.

Q: What if I need my garment urgently (e.g. a wedding dress)?
Please contact us immediately — we will raise urgent cases with the landlord as part of our legal proceedings.

Q: What if I want to make a claim?
Any claim for loss, damage, or delay is a matter to be taken up directly against the landlord, since he has taken possession of your garments. If you wish to pursue a claim, we will assist you by providing the necessary details and evidence to support it.

Customer Notice – Flamsteads Dry Cleaning, Hertford

We regret to inform our valued customers that, due to a dispute with the landlord, we have been unlawfully locked out of the shop premises while customer garments remain inside.

This situation is entirely beyond our control. We are taking urgent legal action (injunction application) to restore access so that all items, including important garments such as wedding dresses, can be collected safely and without further delay.

In addition to customer garments, the landlord has also taken control of our business belongings, including the till (containing cash), furniture, fittings, and equipment.

We want to reassure you that your garments remain inside the shop. If customers wish to speak directly with the landlord — who now has control of all items inside the premises — we can facilitate this.

We sincerely apologise for the stress and inconvenience this has caused and thank you for your patience and understanding while we work to resolve this matter as quickly as possible.
