Here we are, nearly a year into the pandemic and what a year it has been for everyone.

We are still operating and very thankful for this. Our team has continued to work hard…even if it is from home for some!

The NHS have been incredible throughout these challenging times and we would like to say a huge thank you and continue to offer them a discount on our reactive works. Please just let us know if this applies to you.

One thing this year has taught so many of us is that it is more important than ever to look after ourselves and be kind. And as we move into spring/summer, we are looking forward to the possibility of some socialising (distanced of course)!

However, we would urge people to remain aware of the Government’s advice and hopefully that will mean we are on the home stretch now 😊

WARNING HERTFORDSHIRE

We had a vehicle stolen at 2.00am this morning from central Watford. No window damage and no doors had not been forced. They got in to the cab, cut the ignition barrel out and fitted one they had with a key. They drove it to BARNET (20 mins away) and left it in a quiet residential close. We assume to monitor and return to later if untouched.

We got to it once we realised it had gone, vehicle is tracked, valuables were taken from the cab but nothing from the rear, deadlocks fitted. We have the police involved. The vehicle has been recovered and is now safe.

We are not lucky, because it shouldn’t have been stolen in the first place, but this could have been a lot worse. Picote and tools, Maxprobe, as well as power tools etc were on board.

We have items stolen from the front and damage to the column, dash and barrel.....and the van is off the road until the repairs can be done. We still have to suffer the loses, expense and inconvenience. So be aware people.

We are still operating as best we can given the current circumstances. Thank you to all of our team for working through these difficult times.

Most of our office team are working from home and our guys are covering emergencies and resolving situations where there is a hazard to health or risk of damage to property/assets.

We are only doing a small part in keeping this going and would like to thank all those involved at the NHS in the front line continuing to work through very difficult and risky circumstances.

They are doing everything they can to help us and in return we would like to do something we can to help them.......therefore, any NHS workers who are in need of our services will be given a 50% discount.

We would also urge people to pay attention to all the advice being given and stay at home and isolated as much as possible, stay safe.

The speed limit is changing!

Did you know that from Monday 2nd March, TfL roads in Central London will be reducing the speed limit to 20mph.

This change is part of the Mayor of London’s commitment to ‘Vision Zero’ – a target aiming to reduce the number of deaths and injuries on London roads to zero by 2041.

Speed is a factor in around 37% of collisions where a person dies or is seriously injured across London. If a walking pedestrian is hit by a vehicle at 20mph, they are five times more likely to survive the collision than if they were hit at 30mph.

Speed cameras will be enforcing the new limits and those caught driving above the limit will be fined £100 and receive three points on their license.
