For Thems that aren’t thoroughly bored by now, more Jackdaw action...
Another nest removed sans oeufs. As it should be. This couple from Herstmonceux showing a preference for horse hair, sheep wool, Eucalyptus and Cordyline bark, all bound up with baler twine.
The nest being located in the pot, I felt I might show off and impress the customer with pushing it out from below and in one piece;
Down she sailed, slow as a feather and settled plumb square in the tool bag...
Driving away, glowing with embarrassment, thoroughly chastened and vowing never to show off again, my shame was replaced with rejoicing at the spectacle of strings of Swallows along the lane. It must be summer.....
