1981 Ferrari 308 GTS

We spent a day preparing this beauty for the Concours lawn of Yorkshire Elegance at Grantley Hall.

As you can see, we gave the whole car a really good machine polish, even removing a strange darker hue on the back end (slide 9 & 10). The spare wheel was removed for a deep clean, which also allowed access to the ‘frunk’.

A thorough once over the interior uncovered a ticket to Hampton Court from fourteen years prior!

Only beaten by two freshly restored cars, this car came home with third place at Yorkshire Elegance.

This last week, the owner has driven it across Europe to nine countries and has taken it back home to Maranello!

This 1948 Alvis TA14 represents Alvis’ return after the war.

They produced over 3000 of these, and this example is bodied by Mulliners LTD of Birmingham.

We carried out a wax protection detail, and as always we make sure the chrome and any other distinguishing features are looking their best!

1982 VW MK1 Golf GTI,
This example only has two previous owners, and 70k miles from new.

This car is highly original as you’d expect, so with that you’re dealing with super thin paint. We measured the faded paintwork first before giving it a full polish and a coat of wax.

We also did other jobs like painting the arches and splitter, and steam cleaning the engine bay.

Projects like this are Concorso through and through.

Monaco Historique 2026 !

It was my first time visiting Monaco, and what a weekend it was. The racing, the cars, and of course Monaco as a whole was fantastic to see.

Great to squeeze in a visit to the paddocks, as well as the RM Sotheby’s auction where we saw alot of friends, and some ridiculous prices made on the automobila. Notably Fangio’s driving license which fetched €102,000, and his race worn trousers fetching €132,000!

Monaco bleeds an aura of sophistication and elegance, exactly how it has been portrayed to me in the past. Unbelievably (and I know you’re going to think I’m a complete sausage) I presumed it was all relatively flat, well my burning calf’s say otherwise.

Met Jacky Ickx, which completed my trio including Derek Bell, and Richard Attwood, and saw a very familiar face that’s in the current F1 line up - unfortunately it wasn’t the time or place to collar him.

You’d think after working with cars day in, and day out for thirteen odd years I’d be bored of it by now wouldn’t you?

Will be visiting again in the future!

1956 Mercedes 300 SL “Gull wing”

This was big box tick for us, as they don’t come much more iconic than this.

This example is finished in metallic silver and also features the very sought after, and rare Rudge wheels.

We had the opportunity to drive the car around the Grantley estate and get it into position. Even at the slow speeds, we got an idea of what this car is capable of, and it was a joy to hear the engine I’ve heard so many times on videos.

Now in the public domain, we’re delighted to share with you this fantastic pre war Alfa Romeo we worked on nearly 3 years ago.

1931 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 series V gran Sport,
With coachwork in style of Zagato.

Of all the 6C’s produced, the short- chassis 1750 Gran Sport are the most rare and were widely successful in competition back in period, often beating Bugatti’s and Maserati’s with greater displacement.

This multi award winning example has had recent work with specialist , and is currently available through private sales.
