Update
Leaving the lovely market town of Hawes, they passed through the hamlet of Hardraw, near the Green Dragon Inn. From here they had a big climb up Great Shunner Fell into the stunning village of Thwaite and down into Keld in Swaledale. Here the paths of the 'Pennine Way' and 'Coast to Coast' meet. Mum and Dad camped the night here at a lovely welcoming farm, before heading up to Tan Hill and its famous inn, the highest in Britain at 1732 ft above sea level. They continued over grouse moorland into Baldersdale. Here the wonderful fells farmer, the late Hannah Hauxwell lived a solitary life. There's a field of wild flowers named in her memory 'Hannah's Meadow'. From here the way led into Middleton in Teesdale, where they camped the night. More to come soon!!

Hello,
From their campsite, Mum and Dad walked to the superb Malham Cove and climbed its 400 stone steps, to its limestone pavement top, providing a spectacular view of the valley below. Continuing up from the cove, they traversed Malham Tarn, the highest natural lake in England and walked over Fountains Fell to the Yorkshire Three Peaks. They scrambled up the 694m high Pen-y- Ghent, now a firm favourite of Mum!!!
They stayed overnight in the campsite in the little village in Horton in Ribblesdale. The way continued over the tops to Wensleydale creamery in Hawes, here award winning cheeses can be sampled. ( Loved by Wallace and Gromit. ) They camped here at a farm on the hillside. Bye for now.

Hello again, more information on the nutters, sorry Mum and Dad. From Gargrave the way heads into the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park, passing the quaint little villages of Airton and Kirkby Malham, before entering Malham itself. Tomorrow morning Mum and Dad face the towering limestone amphitheatre of Malham Cove!!!

Mum and dad are going walk abouts again. This time from Halifax to john o groats!!!+They sat off last week, from Hebden Bridge. Hebden Bridge is a lovely little village down the valley from Halifax, where we, as a family visit quite regularly. Jack and Niamh love feeding the ducks. From here they walked towards Cowling, passing the well stocked May's Cafe above the moors, after a cuppa tea they made their way, to the Top Withins, near Haworth. They camped the night here. Keep going you two and I'll inform you more, when they let me know !!!
