⛈ Despite the rain we were still able to set up and enjoy our Nature Explorers group this morning ⛈ we had a big ball run, ride on trikes, animals in the sand, potion making, butterfly finger painting and a comfy quiet area to read nature books 🌿
Next week will be our LAST Nature Explorers!!

🐚🏖 The children enjoyed exploring activities related to the beach today at our Nature Explorers group! 🔎
We had lots of fun looking at lots of beautiful shells, playing with water, sand, chalks and bubbles! The children also developed their gross motor skills with climbing, ride ons, hoops and beanbags! 🐚🏖🔎

It was lovely to welcome you all back to Buddies again for our Summer term 🌞
The children enjoyed a home corner yesterday, washing and looking after the babies and making and serving in the kitchen/cafe 🫖
The children developed their fine motor skills using pegs, Cotton balls and paint 🎨
We had lots to play with and a lovely sunny garden to enjoy with water, sand and ride ons! 😄

On Tuesday at our Nature Explorers group our focus was on birds 🐦
We had mirrors and books for the children to try to spot and identify birds, different types of plants and smelly herbs for the children to explore and identify 🌿
Soil play 🪲🐞 sand play 🏖 and lots of motor skill play with our ride ons, ball run, balance stones, slides and climbing frames 🪜
We read a lovely story all together at the end where the children looked for a chick on each page 🐣

We will return again after half term on Tuesday 6th June and will run every Tuesday in June until the 27th 🌞

At Buddies this week the children enjoyed lots or time in the garden 🐞🐛 the tool bench role play 🔨🔧 developed their motor skills with the balls 🟢 and the modelling sand, sticking with tissues and sparkles and playing with the diggers, rice and cotton balls! 🚛

There will be no Buddies next week as it is half term but we are looking forward to seeing you all back again on Monday 5th June 🌞

We had a wonderful sunny morning at our Nature Explorers group today!
Our focus was all about bugs so the children had magnifying glasses and a bug hunt checklist to go looking! 🐛🪲🐞
We had lots to find in our soil, sand play, ride ons, outdoor coordination and motor skills activities, bug books. We finished our group by reading the 'Very Hungry Caterpillar' together and filling a basket with everything he ate! 🍃🐛🦋
