Can you guess who wants to stock this? 👀

I came home from camping to a rather lovely email.

A very cool high street retailer wants to stock “These Are The Good Days” and in lovely big A1 + A2 sizes too.

This exact orange one was featured by OK! Magazine UK last year, so she’s clearly got something going for her. 🧡

Maybe it’s the sentiment, maybe it’s the colour, or maybe it’s the way I designed the type. Who knows.

But she’s having a bit of a moment… and that’s making these days pretty good for me.

Any guesses who it is? 👀

I made a bit of a mistake...
A few months ago I decided to split Burnt Peach into two Instagram accounts because I thought it was the right thing to do.
Truthfully... I have a habit of overcomplicating things. 😂
I can barely keep up with one Instagram account, so I don’t really know what I was thinking trying to manage two.
So... I’m bringing it all back together.
Because when I really stopped and thought about what Burnt Peach is, it isn’t just portraits. Or prints. Or clothing.
Burnt Peach is about turning meaningful moments into beautiful design you’ll keep forever.
That’s always been the heart of what I do.
So from now on you’ll see it all here.
The portraits.
The typography.
The new collections I’m creating.
The ideas that never quite make it to the website.
The stories behind them.
Probably a little less of me... and a lot more of what I love making.
I realised somewhere along the way that I was spending more time thinking about creating content than creating the work itself.
And I’d much rather make beautiful things than feel like I have to perform for the internet.
So if you’re here because you love personalised artwork, meaningful design, or you’re simply looking for pieces that help tell your family’s story, thank you.
If you’ve been here since the beginning, thank you for sticking around.
And if you’ve only just found Burnt Peach...
I’m really glad you’re here.

Today was my youngest’s last day of primary school. Seven years ago, we stood by this postbox on his very first day. We had to stop because a tiny snail was making its way across the path.
This morning, we stood in exactly the same place. Before I’d even had chance to say goodbye, he was already running off, just a blur in the distance.
I guess that’s parenthood. One minute they’re holding your hand, the next they’re running ahead, needing you just a little bit less.
Somewhere between those two moments he grew so much taller, so much more confident, and somehow old enough for secondary school.
Looking at these photos side by side, I honestly don’t know where those seven years went.
I’m so proud of the kind, funny and resilient little person he’s become. I just can’t believe this chapter is already over.
Here’s to the next chapter, my darling littlest peach.🍑🥲

Lola looks like a blob when I draw her from the side. Which is not ideal when you’ve built a business capturing side profiles.
Her face is her best feature. The fuzzy bits, the eyes, the look she gives me when she hasn’t been walked. None of that works as a silhouette. So I needed another way to get her on the wall.
After weeks of experimenting, Painted Pets happened. The photos already on your phone become the portrait you’ve always wanted on your wall. Because they deserve the wall space.
Works with any photo, any pet, any angle. These work especially well for memorial portraits too, so if you’ve recently lost your bestie, this is a really beautiful way to hold onto them.
Collection is live now. If you’re not sure whether your photos will work, send me a DM. Lola and I will check before you order.

If you’ve got a leaver this summer, you’ll feel every second of this one😭 I can not quite believe my years of primary school parenting are nearly over. We all moan about the WhatsApp groups, lost jumpers and the rest of it. But these years have honestly been a beautiful blur.
While you’re in it, it’s hard to see sometimes.

If you take one thing from watching this, just try and be where your feet are. It goes so fast.

“Have nothing in your house that is not useful or beautiful.” — William Morris
This is both.

Thanks .home for this beautiful shoehorn.

And these boots are the best investment I ever made. If you’re looking for something off the scale comfy, stylish and warm, I cannot recommend them enough. I actually look forward to putting them on for my dog walks or freezing my ass off on the side of a football pitch. Does that make me sad? No. I have just always appreciate good design, and these pieces have both.

My son told me my maths was wrong. He was right. Let me take you back to the homeschooling days. Pandemic. Two boys. One business. Kitchen table. I was getting everything wrong, not just the maths.
I’d have rolled my eyes at a mantra a year earlier. But somewhere in the middle of that relentless time I started repeating four words to myself on the really hard days.

Everything will be ok.

I’m a designer, so I made it into a print. Sold the first rainbow versions to raise money for the NHS. Then somehow it ended up at the Chelsea Flower Show. Then on the telly. Then on your walls and on your backs, which still gets me every single time.
It’s become one of my best selling designs. Which tells me I wasn’t the only one who needed those words.
If you need them too, link in bio.

I actually did it.🏅😭 it’s been an emotional year. This run meant everything to me. And then my mum and best friend surprised me at the finish line with flowers. 😭 To put my mind to something and actually see it through, that’s the best feeling in the world. I never finish anything. But I did this. I bloody well did it.

(I will not be able to walk tomorrow. 😅)

In my little potion-making era over here! 🤣It genuinely feels like being a kid again… mixing, testing, making something that’s completely yours. And this one my extremely dry skin drinks it up. I’ve been making these face balms for a while so thought I’d share. I love putting mine in little pots from charity shops… just makes it feel even more special. But, use whatever you’ve got.

(Also my youngest filmed this so excuse the shaky video… you get the idea 😅)

If you want to try it, here’s my simple 100ml recipe:

Ingredients
– 50ml almond oil
– 25g shea butter
– 20g beeswax
– 1 tsp vitamin E oil
– 10–15 drops essential oils
(I used lavender + rose, but I’d normally use frankincense as it’s so good for skin… just ran out)

Method
Melt beeswax + shea butter gently
Stir in almond oil
Let it cool slightly, then add vitamin E + essential oils
Pour into a pot, pop it in the fridge (mine sat next to the ham 😅) and by morning it’s good to go.

I got my vitamin E oil, shea butter + organic beeswax from
and my almond oil + essential oils from
(their selection is unreal and they do £2 Tuesdays… so good)

Not an ad. Just something I genuinely love making at home.

I can’t go back to shop-bought moisturiser now. This just feels better on my skin. And in a cost of living crisis this is luxury on a shoe string, and these will last me all year.

If you try it, tell me what you put in yours… 🤍
