Maxy Bears

I have fallen in and out of love with bear making for the longest time. I have always been so focused on a ‘side hussle’ rather than trying to create things that are a joy to make and I get a sense of achievement from. This has always led to rushing to make things, not allowing myself time to experiment or make mistakes and being so hyper critical.

Last weekend we went to Bruges and I fell in love with a vintage shop filled with handmade teddy bears. The shop had such a beautiful vintage whimsy to it and filled me with so much inspiration that when I got home, I was itching to create something new.

And this is what I came up with!!! I am honestly so happy with her and was really patient with the process…I enjoyed every single second of it! She is completely hand sewn including her dress and I have hand painted her to add some aged detailing. I am so excited to carry on this journey and hopefully create more creatures in the coming months 🥰❤️

I made this fluffy little bear for my auntie and I am so happy with how he’s turned out 😍

I have had an idea for a new style of bear for some time and I feel like I have the confidence to give it a go! Stay tuned ♥️

✨ Lacey ✨

I have a really nasty habit of being really excited to work on a new idea, start sewing and then freak out in case I can’t create something to the same standard I have in my head.

This has resulted in many baskets of unfinished projects 🙄😂 this poor little elephant has been in the works for about a year so I was so happy with how she came out!!

With vintage lace and dumbo fabric, she is the perfect little elephant 🥰❤️

✨ Bloom ✨

I’m pleased to finally share Bloom! I have been spending a lot of time practicing techniques and I am so happy with the finished result!!

Bloom is 8” tall, made from hand dyed mohair and completely hand sewn. She has glass eyes, faux eyelashes, a fully sculpted face and needle felted details. She wears a vintage lace bow with faux pearl heart ❤️

✨ Minerva Mouse ✨

I am so excited to share a new little creature!!! Her name is Minerva and she is a sleepy little mouse who loves nothing more than curling up in princess dresses 🎀

She is made from felt and completely hand sewn with little glass eyes and hand shading 🪡

I hope you love her as much as I enjoyed making her!! Expect to see more little mousey’s very soon!
