We have written many words about the benefits of professional roof restoration using science not pressure .

We realise it is not always easy to understand the process or to trust in the results.

The pictures of the roof treatment we carried out on The Wisley Golf Club and the feedback below from our client say more than we ever can.

"After just over thirty years, the expansive roof areas of The Wisley had lost their appeal, covered in moss, lichen, and a
dark discoloration that overshadowed the once charming terracotta coloured clay tiles. Seeking a solution, we reached
out to the local exterior cleaning experts at Home Soft Wash. They recommended a gentle and considerate soft-washing roof cleaning technique to bring back the natural beauty of our roof. Home Soft Wash started by carefully brushing away heavy moss loads and then applying a specialised soft-wash product. Throughout the process, they ensured minimal inconvenience to our Members.

Home Soft Wash informed us that it would take 12-18 months for the complete results to really show. Over the months, we witnessed the roof gradually reclaiming its former glory. The before-and-after pictures tell the story, showcasing a truly remarkable transformation that revitalised the club's appearance to a fresh and premium state, as if it were newly constructed just a year or two ago! We are thrilled with the results and appreciate the professional advice and service provided by Home Soft Wash. Without hesitation we highly recommend their services to others."

Specialist exterior cleaning using science NOT pressure.

Did you know that around 90% of our professional external cleaning work does not actually use high water pressure to complete the task.

We are often asked if we can quote to ‘pressure wash’ something such as patio.

Nearly always we only need to utilise either none or a very limited and controlled level of water pressure.

Instead we will use the science of professional softwashing and where needed low pressure water and steam to achieve the results we need.

This approach protects the surfaces we are cleaning and guarantees great results.

Did you know that the discoloration you are seeing whether on a patio, a roof or rendered wall is biofilm which is a collection of microorganisms, including algae, fungi, lichens, and bacteria, that adhere to surfaces in moist or humid environments.

It is as such ‘alive’ and it is the through the process of softwashing using specialist approved products that this biofilm is neutralised.

Water cleaning alone whether high or low pressure will often just remove some surface dirt or at higher pressures the grouting on your patio! It’s the softwashing that does the heavy lifting and without it the biofilm will often survive and remain visible or grow back.

The examples in this post are great illustrations of this process whether the roof treatment on The Wisley or biofilm-stained rendered walls or patio black lichen on patios.

If you have rendered walls that look dirty they nearly always just need a cost effective softwash treatment to make them look as new.

We looked at a house today where the elderly owner has been quoted £6500.00 to repaint the exterior rendered walls as they looked stained and marked in patches.

In fact 80 % of the painted wall areas are perfect with areas of biofilm staining on the remainder.

For less than 10% of the cost quoted for painting we will have all the walls looking as new. We will share the before and after pictures in the weeks to come.

Some pictures of previous work illustrate the transformation this cleaning process can achieve.
